The purgatory collection is a visual concept where as your inebriation increases the story progresses. A simplified version of inferno, you go through the four stages of drunkenness but at the end you always return to the beginning. The collection includes:
Oblivion Stout
Loophole Blonde
Transit Red Ale
Limbo Pale Ale
A journey through the four circles of sobriety.
Oblivion Stout
Brewed with white wheat and oats, Oblivion features a crisp wheat finish and the perfect combination of orange peel and coriander. Bring out Oblivion and it’s natural spices by serving it in a pilsner glass and enjoy having a healthy taste of nothingness.
The illustration depicts the back or dark side of the mountain.. where once you venture, there might be no easy way back. After some time one might forget where they started.
Loophole Blonde
The Belgian-style blonde ale is typically easy-drinking, with a low but pleasing hop bitterness. This is a light- to medium-bodied ale, with a low malt aroma that has a spiced and sometimes fruity-ester character. Sugar is sometimes added to lighten the perceived body.
After getting deserted behind the darkness the only thought that comes to mind is how to escape, where to go. You pray to find a loophole in the contract you signed.
Transit Red Ale
The use of American hops in the American imperial red ale lends to the perception of medium hop bitterness, flavor and aroma. Coupled with a solid malt profile, this should be a beer with balance between hop bitterness and malt sweetness.
A bright light appears through the mist. You see a portal, and you hope it’s your salvation. You are ready to transit from one reality to another.
Limbo Pale Ale
Characterized by floral, fruity, citrus-like, piney, resinous American hops, the American pale ale is a medium-bodied beer with low to medium caramel, and carries with it a toasted maltiness.
Through the light you go.. limbo awaits. There is nothing you can do, your sobriety.. is no more. The haze comes back, the mist grows, and that shady and monolithic mountain appears. Back to square one.
